The term BFF and besties is thrown around a lot these days. I’m guilty of overusing it myself sometimes. Remember back in the day when it was a HUGE deal to be either “Be Fri” or “St Ends”? I’m not saying that you can’t have more than one best friend, but have the standards lowered? Or do we all just love each other that much more? I kinda think it’s the latter. I am overly thankful for the amount of friends I have. I truly love them all, and they come from such different areas in my life that I know no matter what’s going on, I always have someone to call. Whether it’s just to chat, have a bitch session, ask a favor, or tell a funny story, my friends are there for me.
I’d like to use my return to blogging to recognize those friends that are truly fantastic – that go above and beyond and are the bestest of best.
Laurie Bridget – You are in every sense of the word my very BEST friend. You are an amazing person – smart, beautiful, successful, funny, loving, and caring. I know that no matter what the situation, I can call on you and you’ll move mountains to be there for me. I am proud to call you my wife.
Sin – In two simple words, YOU RULE. I’m almost sad that we didn’t find each other earlier in life, but I’m so glad we are together now. We’re both ridiculously over scheduled, overwhelmed and over achieving. I feel like we really have this mutual inspiration thing going on and it will only help us conquer the world that much faster. I love you dude.
Denise – I think my phone bill (and our husbands) can attest to this relationship! LOL Whenever I have anything to say, you are the first person I call. I can always count on you to answer and be ready to listen, sympathize, laugh, gossip, complain, or just blab. Even though we sometimes have our differences, I love you like the sister you have been to me since I was… how old?
McEwen – Even though we have only recently reunited, you have shown us time and time again what a GREAT guy you are. We truly feel like you and the minis are a part of our family now and look forward to so many more great times. PS – 2011 Rockin’ New Year’s Eve?
I should probably mention my husband, my moms (yes, both of them), my dad, and my brothers here as well, but perhaps family appreciation blog day will come later. You all know I love ya, right?
I feel like we don’t tell our friends enough how much they mean to us and how we really would be lost without them. Unless we’re drunk! So there’s my sober “if tomorrow never comes” love note to you all. Thank you to each and every one of my besties – even if you weren’t mentioned here, you know who you are and each of you has a special place in my heart.
