Hopefully none of us will ever need to use this, but if we do… all it takes is a name and email address.
The heliport is an essential part of Children’s Memorial Hospital’s ability to fulfill its mission of caring for the region’s children. Chicago’s Plan Commission, Zoning Committee and full City Council approved plans for the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, including the building of a rooftop heliport, in late 2007 and early 2008. The Federal Aviation Administration also determined the heliport can safely operate.
The last step in the process is the approval from the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) who is considering our application for the new heliport.
We need your support now for the heliport the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. On behalf of the children who rely on this service, please take one minute to ask IDOT to approve the heliport by filing out a brief online form.
